Taking the Silver Stick by Storm. Final Score vs JRC, 3-1.
Third Times A Charm for the U12 NYR this past weekend after winning their 3rd consecutive silver stick tournament in as many years.
They beat 2nd ranked Chicago Mission in the quarters 6-1. In the semifinals, led by goaltender Matteo Cerrelli who won his 3rd game of the tournament, they beat GTHL rivals Toronto Marlboros 6-1.
The stage was set for the finals vs JRC.
With 90 sec remaining in regulation, Francesco Prete broke the 1-1 tie scoring in what would be the game winning goal.
William Loftus backstopped the team in the finals winning his 4th game in the tournament.
Captain Clive Mashinter was named tournament MVP where he scored an impressive 23 points in 7 games (10 goals & 13 assists) Matteo Dellino finished 3rd in total points with 20 (10 goals & 10 assists).
A total team effort with an impressive 40 goals for and 6 goals against in 7 total games.
